Pit your skills against other players in our monthly internal tournament. All levels welcome.

The format

How does the tournament work?

Every month we organise an internal tournament using the Swiss system. This means you always play against someone of similar level, even if you lose, you play until the final round.

Swiss system Everyone plays the same number of rounds. Pairing based on score, exciting until the last move.

Time control Rapid chess: 15 minutes per player per game. Fast, exciting and accessible.

Rounds Everybody plays 7 games per tournament.

Prizes For the top three per group there are trophies, with medallions for places four and five.

Participants All chess players up to the age of 14 are welcome.

📋 Rules

We play according to the official FIDE rules with minor adjustments for the rapid format. Mobile phones are switched off during games. Sportsmanlike conduct is required — we are here to enjoy and learn.
